Navigate to "ORCHESTRATOR > Monitoring > Settings" submenu. Select the preferred entity by clicking the [Entity] button on the top right corner.
This section is only accessible to super-admin, typically for customers having on-premise/private deployments.
In our device provisioning step, we attach a device/host to a template which predefines set of monitoring items, triggers and graphs. This section allows you to modify the individual host settings, change template settings, enable/disable items, etc.
Go to "ORCHESTRATOR > Monitoring > Settings > Hosts"
Click on the target host name, from there, you can modify existing items, or add new items (only for this host); edit triggers and graphs etc.
If you're looking to add custom items, please consult RansNet support for help. Usually, you may just edit parameters (eg. timers, enabled/disable, etc) for existing items.
NOTE: modifying template setting can will automatically update changes to all the hosts attached to this template. There are many existing templates for different device types. Usually the default template settings would be sufficient for most general purposes. Please make sure you know what you're doing before proceeding further.
Go to "ORCHESTRATOR > Monitoring > Settings > Templates". Click on the button on the upper right corner to browse template groups. RansNet device templates (Template_HSA and Template_mbox) are located in the default "Templates" group.
Click on the "Items" or "Triggers" to modify settings for the target template (no clicking on template name).
Once in your in the items page for the template, you can click on the target item name to modify. or click on "Add Item" on the upper right corner to create new item.
NOTE: modifying/adding items are for advanced users only. We suggest you contact RansNet support for assistance if you need to customize some items for special monitoring purposes.
Actions define what to do when trigger conditions are met. The default is to create alert on the "ORCHESTRATOR > Monitoring > Alerts" submenu, and email to to all users who have rights to the host entity.
Each entity has one default action rule. You can disable/enable the action for target entities (eg. duing maintenance)
Go to "ORCHESTRATOR > Monitoring > Settings > Hosts"
Go to "ORCHESTRATOR > Monitoring > Settings > Items"
Go to "ORCHESTRATOR > Monitoring > Settings > Triggers"
These two tabs allow you to massively enable/disable certain triggers and items. Because the templates set default enable/disable status for some items and triggers, but sometimes you may want to change that for some entities or group of hosts. So instead of changing at the template level (which affects all hosts) or at the host level (which is very tedious when you have large amount of hosts), you can use these two tabs to filter and update to a group of hosts or items.
Once you've filtered out your desired items to change, click on "Select" column to select all, then "Selected" button, to massively update all the selected items.
