Login to RansNet Wi-Fi Captive Portal via Email OTP

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to help you connect to the internet using the RansNet captive portal via Email OTP. Please make sure you have a valid email account for this purpose.

Step 1: Connect to the Wi-Fi Network and launch captive portal login page

Open your device’s Wi-Fi settings. Select the correct Wi-Fi network (SSID).

Once your device has established a Wi-Fi connection, a login page will automatically appear

[If the login page doesn't appear, manually open a web browser and go to http://status.ransnet.com/status to trigger the portal.]

Step 2: Enter Your Email Address

On the captive portal login page, 

[a pop-up notification will appear. Review the notification message carefully. Click "OK" to confirm]


Step 3: Getting temporary access

After confirming [OK] in above page, you will be redirected to a status page.

No action is needed for this step, just review your connection details (e.g., bandwidth, traffic, session time) and proceed to next step to check your email.  At this stage, you are given 10 minutes free access with limited speed, so that you can retrieve email verification link.

[Please use the same device and same Wi-Fi connection to access your email. Do NOT switch to other Wi-Fi SSID or Mobile Data]

Step 4: Check email verification link

Check your email inbox for a message containing a verification link. 

[If the email isn’t in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder] 

Click the verification link to complete the authentication process.

Step 5: Successful connection

After clicking on the activation link in your email, you should be getting a "Success" page. 

Wait for the success page to fully load, untill you are redirected to an updated status page (similar to step #3 above but with new bandwidth information) or you may be redirected to provider's website.
