RansNet Wi-Fi monitoring provides real-time visibility into wireless performance, client experience, and access point health across distributed networks. It enables operators to detect issues such as poor signal quality, channel congestion, client instability, and bandwidth saturation before they impact user experience.
Navigate to "ORCHESTRATOR > Monitoring > Wireless" submenu. Select the preferred entity by clicking the [Entity] button on the top right corner.
The Overview subtab provides a summarized view of the wireless network, including total access points, SSIDs, and connected clients.
It also visualizes distribution of SSIDs and clients across frequency bands, channels, and wireless modes, allowing operators to quickly assess overall network utilization and detect imbalances or anomalies.
The Wi-Fi APs and SSIDs subtab provides detailed visibility into access point and SSID performance.
It includes RF quality indicators such as signal strength and noise levels, as well as per-AP and per-SSID operational data including channel, bandwidth, data rates, and transmission settings. This allows operators to evaluate wireless conditions and identify performance issues at the infrastructure level.
The Wi-Fi Clients subtab provides detailed information on all connected wireless clients and their connection quality.
It includes metrics such as signal strength (RSSI), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), data rates, connection duration, and traffic statistics, enabling operators to troubleshoot client experience issues and identify weak or unstable connections.
